About the Lucerne Theatre
At Theaterstrasse 2, directly on the Reuss river and just a few steps from the train station, you'll find the Lucerne Theater. Here, the curtain rises on grand emotions and subtle gestures – for opera, plays, dance, puppet theater, and stories for young audiences.
As the largest cultural institution in Central Switzerland, the Lucerne Theater brings people, voices, and movement together. Performances take place not only at the Haus an der Reuss, but also at the Box, the UG, and, time and again, right in the heart of the city. It’s a place where Lucerne feels a little bigger for an evening.
